Stash Roulette 2009 - revisited

ok... I've been a huge slacker on my "Stash Roulette" projects for 2009.

Here's what's going on...

1. Ziggy (hat) in a purple Spunky Super Nova

2. Green Day (vest) in a blue/green Brunswick Impressions

3. SImple Toe-up Socks in Four Sizes in colorwork pattern using a purple and a blue Lamb's Pride Superwash Done in February... became mittens instead, but done :)

4. Jaywalker (socks) in a brown/blue Lion Brand Magic Stripes

5. Kitty Pi (cat bed) in Spumoni Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky Done knitting in January... still need to sew in a lining

6. A bag of my own design in a navy Lamb's Pride Bulky and a brown Lopi

7. Urchin (hat) in a cream Bernat Alpaca

8. A scarf using the cable pattern from Star Crossed Slouchy Beret in a teal Kilcarra Tweed

9. Huggable Hedgehog (toy) in brown Jojoland wool and Cello fun fur

10. Diana's Knee Highs (socks) in a blue/white striping Lane Cervinia Forever Jaquard Started in April... were going well until the needles fell out (about half way to first heel). Might just rip out and start over. 

11. Celtic Latticework (socks) in a plum baby alpaca from the Fryeburg Fair Almost done... started in March and only have one or two pattern repeats left.  Must finish soon!

12. Snowflake Socks in a cream and plum Rowan RYC Cashsoft

So as you can see... not much progress was made as it is now JULY!  However, I'm thinking about making September my "catch up" month.  I think I'll forgo (fore go??) the random number generator and just pick some of the smaller/easier/quicker projects to get up to speed.

So here's the new plan :)

Before September, finish the Celtic Latticework socks (should not take more than a day or two) and the knee highs (will take longer)

In September (or earlier if time permits)... do the following 5 projects (May - Sept):

1. Ziggy (hat) in a purple Spunky Super Nova

2. Green Day (vest) in a blue/green Brunswick Impressions

3. A scarf using the cable pattern from Star Crossed Slouchy Beret in a teal Kilcarra Tweed

4. A bag of my own design in a navy Lamb's Pride Bulky and a brown Lopi

5. Urchin (hat) in a cream Bernat Alpaca

Let's see how that goes for me ;) haha

Quick knitting update

Yes I know... I need to post about my VACATION!! :)  But I'm still trying to get all my pictures uploaded... so that's going to wait until the weekend.

Until then... some knitting updates:

 

I finished my shawl (pattern is Gail/Nightsongs and is available free on Ravelry) made out of Dye Dreams Dream Sox in "Mulled Wine"... I love it and tonight was the first chance I had to wear it.  Note the awesome shawl pin that I treated myself to from TKE

Also... my vaca knitting (which honestly wasn't worked on much) was my "Summer of Socks" sock from LAST summer :)

Here it is in the mountains of California:

 

And here it is now... one down... one to go :)

Things that happen when it rains for 2 months...

Some of you may recall the cricket from hell from last summer...

This summer... may I introduce you to the slug from hell.

 

Oh some of the untold joys of homeownership :)  At least this one was OUTside.

NEW TOY!!! :)

So I'm pretty behind on my posting... have a few knitted things I'll need to post about sometime soon, but right now I'm getting ready for my 2 week trip to California *SQUEE* so those posts might have to wait until I have more time :)

Sunday I bought myself a new camera and accessories:

 

 

It's a Cannon PowerShot and it came with a 4GB card, a case, and a "flexipod" for pretty cheap :)  The flexipod thing is so cool!  I've never had a tripod before nevermind one that does this!

 

Yep... it wraps around stuff... it's cool :)

And now... we pass the torch...

 

Goodbye hp PhotoSmart... you have served me well over the years and have seen me through many many memories... Maybe you can still serve someone else well :)
